1. Baby Jogger City Tour Double

The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest model in the Baby Jogger range. It was designed specifically to travel and fits through doors that are standard with its ultra-narrow shape. It's also among the lightest double buggies on the market that weighs just 14lbs when folded. This makes it perfect for flying with a newborn and a toddler because you won't have to exceed the allowances for luggage on airlines. It also folds to the size of a bag for travel and can be tucked away in the back of your car when it's not being used.

The one-handed, Z-shape fold is a breeze and is extremely compact once you get the hang of it. It can take a couple of seconds to unfold. Our tester found the auto-lock a little confusing, and since the handlebar doesn't lock in its position when you push it, it hit her leg when she was using it. She also believed that the handlebar was on the short side. This is particularly true when a large bag for changing hangs from it.

This double stroller isn't as light as other buggies. It comes with a wide variety of features, and is one the most versatile double strollers on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately) and offers multiple recline positions, and a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add a bassinet to one or both seats to transform this into a travel system.

The four tires made of rubber are ideal for pavements and urban terrain. However, they were not designed for off-roading. They had a hard time with long grass and gravel and there wasn't enough clearance between the wheel bracket and wheel which meant that mud could get stuck easily. But our tester was still enthralled using this buggy and it did get up to some beautiful dirt hills.

The hoods were also simple to adjust for wind or sun protection. They didn't offer the same amount of coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It might be worth having an extra rain cover in case.

Overall, our testers loved the way that the Nipper Double allowed them to take their twin girls Sydney and Lyla to all sorts of adventures, from spotting wildlife in the woods, to rush to the park for a playdate. The testers were also impressed with how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There is plenty of room to stretch out for growing toddlers.
